Frequently Asked Questions

If you can’t find the answer below, please get in touch and we will answer your question personally.

Where does my donation get sent?

At present, we are donating to communities in Africa, Tonga and Australia (Northern Territory). We customise each shipment depending on the needs of the community group receiving the goods. If you know of a region that needs our support, please reach out and let us know... We just want to make a difference through sport.

What is the difference between RePlay and Boots For Africa?

The two charities have the same goal in mind - to nurture, empower and transform the lives of children and young adults through sport. Boots For Africa is focused solely on assisting African communities, whereas RePlay is affiliated with charities around the world and is not strictly tied to only one geographical location.

What sports equipment do you accept?

RePlay accepts equipment related to all sports, including but not limited to rugby union, AFL, NRL, soccer, athletics, gymnastics, tennis, hockey, netball, basketball, baseball, cricket, golf and swimming.

Do you have any international collection points?

Yes, we have co-ordinators in Ireland, Italy, USA, UK and South Africa. Contact us for more information.

Will you pay for my postage if I donate sporting gear?

RePlay receives no monetary donations or government funding. As such, we are totally reliant upon the generosity of individuals, schools, sporting clubs and businesses to donate sporting equipment to a designated collection point or ship it to our HQ in Sydney.

How can I become a Coordinator, Partner or Ambassador for RePlay?

It's incredibly important that we continue to promote our message (both locally and globally), as well as deliver and execute on our objectives as a charity. In order to do so, we rely on our local community, corporate partners and sporting stars to spread the word. If our goals as a charity synergise with your values, then we would like to hear from you. Please contact us to chat more.

Can I donate money?

We are not currently set up to receive monetary donations. If you wish to donate money to our general cause, you can do so through our partner, Boots For Africa.

What condition do sneakers or football boots need to be in, in order to donate?

Shoes must be without holes and the soles must be secure / not falling apart. They must also be clean, free of dirt with the laces tied together in pairs.

How do I become a drop off collection point?

We are always looking for kind people to help raise awareness and increase our reach across Australia. Please contact us today for more information.

Can I send my donation directly to those in need as opposed to sending them via you?

In short, yes you can if you have a contact in the country where you would like your sporting equipment to go to. However, in reality, this is not such an easy task - occasionally parcels like these will be intercepted by overseas customs and end up in the wrong hands. Furthermore, the cost of shipping internationally can add up very quickly.

Over the past decade, Sarah has vetted all of RePlay's logistical chains as well as travelled directly to the countries where the equipment is going. Sarah is very closely involved with every shipment and ensures the gear ends up in the right hands / on the right feet!

What type and sizes of clothing do you accept?

We accept jerseys, socks, shorts, sports bras and training kit in all sizes, ranging from infants to adults.  Please note that clothing must be washed prior to donation.

Every donation makes a significant impact.
